Writing was my first form of creative expression, my mum encouraged me to write poetry as soon as I could string a sentence together, once I discovered that I could express myself accurately with a pen, I started to seek out inspiration that could help me expand my lyrical pallet.

I discovered two things that changed my life forever, the power of literature and the social commentary of Hip-Hop; these discoveries encouraged me to begin performing as a poet and rapper, I crafted my skills in my teens at poetry events, open mics and in rap battles, I also began featuring on artist’s music and was touring professionally by the time I was 17.

 

Nowadays, I use the skills I learnt (and continue to learn) from literature and Hip Hop culture for developing new artists as well as working with theatre performers who need a little “stylistic support”.
