The day started like any other writing session, we were bouncing ideas around in the studio with Rudimental, some ideas sounded great, others are ... best forgotten, but that's ok, because we knew what we were looking for. We wanted to create something exciting and uplifting, something that could possibly work as a collaboration with the House Gospel Choir.

By the end of the day we had an instrumental we were happy with, I went home and started to brainstorm concepts about hope and the power of encouraging affirmations. I've always wanted to write a song that had a similar energy to 'Optimistic' by the American vocal ensemble 'Sounds of Blackness", so that was my stencil.

'Mi Casa' was one of the first songs that I wrote for 2fox, I wanted something that was easy to relate to and easier to sing. The message within the music is "mi casa es su casa" (my house is your house), this is 2fox's world, you are welcome here, make yourselves at home.

4 years later we produced an updated version of 'Mi Casa' and Rudimental played the unreleased version during a live stream DJ set with Hot Since 82. Hot Since 82 loved the track and signed it to his label 'Knee Deep In Sound'.

The new campaign allowed us to spread the positive message to a wider audience... plus we got to collaborate on a visualiser with choreographer and Rollerskater 'The Red Dread House Head'!

The Inner Drum EP was our way of connecting with people during the summer of 2020 when the uncertainty of the club scene meant that a lot of our fans were left without a place to come together.

We collaborated with a wide range of artists (some in other parts of the world) and released a new single with a short animated visualiser every 2 weeks for 3 months.

With over 5 million streams the EP achieved everything we hoped for. It helped people to feel connected through the messages in the music, we spoke about what we were feeling and how we wanted to feel. We created the soundtrack to our summer.
